Pilates Instructor

(Wheelock Place, Oxley)

Sharlene loves running and has done many marathons over the last 18 years. To complement her marathon training, she focuses much of training on strength and core exercises. In 2007, when she became pregnant with her second child, she wanted to pare down her training and find a safe form of exercise which she could do throughout her pregnancy and be able to bounce back to training as soon as possible after delivery. This was when she started learning pilates, initially Matwork in the first trimester, then Reformer in her second trimester when tummy became bigger.

As a pilates instructor, she focuses on building a strong foundation for her clients as they progress from basic to more advanced exercises. She hopes to tailor each training session for her client to be effective yet fun, level-appropriate and yet challenging so that we will achieve improvement in overall fitness and core strength through pilates.
